As 1099s and W-2 forms are arriving you might feel you received the wrong form. If you believe your income has been improperly reported as contract labor rather than wages, you can file Form 8919 to alert the IRS that your income may be incorrectly reported. Be aware that the IRS will likely contact the employer if misclassification is determined.
