Tax Time

Our Company

We are committed to helping each of our clients succeed. For this reason our employees attend specialized classes and conferences to keep up-to-date with the latest audit, accounting, and tax requirements.

With April 17th just around the corner, many taxpayers are gathering their information and heading to see their accountant.  If you have not filed your tax return yet, there are several things you should remember.  Make sure you inform your accountant of any changes that effect your tax situation.  Following are a few examples:
•    Has there been a new addition to your family?
•    Have you or your dependents incurred college tuition and fees or student loan interest during 2011?
•    Did you or do you plan on contributing to an IRA?
•    If applicable, did you make all of your estimated tax payments as scheduled?
•    Did you take a distribution from or make a rollover to a retirement account?
•    Have you included all of your itemized deductions such as medical expense, real estate and personal property taxes, home mortgage interest, mortgage insurance premiums, investment interest, gifts to charities, unreimbursed employee business expenses?
These are just a few of the items to be thinking about as you gather your information.  Your tax preparer can cover the many other areas not mentioned above.  At Baldwin CPAs, it is our goal to prepare your tax return with every deduction that you are entitled to.
